Culture, Leisure and Sports
The Culture, Leisure and Sports Unit initiates and organizes cultural and sportive events. It operates appropriate facilities open to the Adama University community members including their family members. Jointly with the faculties it executes a multiculturalism enabling program which aims at preventive de-escalation of ethnic conflicts.
Major events of the year 2009/10
October
- Freshman students will be welcomed together with different concerned bodies of Adama University
November:- Responsible person - Yohannes Girma
- There will be two events "art" exhibition and Adama University Run "against negative life style" which will by organized by CLS, and the best performer will be recognized
- Panel discussion on negative life style
December:- Responsible person - Idossa Terfassa
- Local and expatriate staff cultural night
- There will be football match between local and expatriate staff here, CLS will work with International Relation Office.
January:- Responsible person - Betalhem Tadesse and Meseret Tesfaye
- Beauty contest both boys and girls
- Cultural dress show
- Talent show
February:- Responsible person Antenehe Million
- Panel discussion on the "culture of work" and positive thinking CLS will organize panellists.
March:- Responsible person Seid Sulaiman and Daniel Mamo

- Poem show by students, staff both local and expatriate
