School of Humanities and Natural Sciences

The School of Humanities and Natural Sciences is one of the six Schools of Adama University, representing a clustering of related academic disciplines. Formed by merging the former Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Social Sciences the School awards degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Ethics and Civics, Law, Geography, History, Sociology, English, and Afan Oromo. Our aim is to deliver quality education and conduct research to the benefit of our students, the wider society and the nation at large.

The School Board, comprising the Deans and the Heads of each Department, steers the overall direction of the School.
